How To Fix Error E3 in HP Printer?

Using the printer can invite various problems. If you are seeing the error code E3 in your printer then it could be the result of the paper jam issue or some technical glitches with your device. Below are the quick steps you can follow if you want to remove the issue quickly from your device. So, let’s begin. 

Method 1: Make sure to check the Obstruction in the Carriage Path 


  • See the cancel (x) button on the printer; if it is flashing press and hold the button until it is idle and silent.
  • Then, with the printer powered ON, remove the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Next, you should open the cartridge access door. 
  • Now, you should carefully try to move the ink cartridge from left to right to make sure it slides smoothly without any obstruction.
  • Furthermore, inspect and remove the jammed paper pieces from inside the printer. 
  • Now, check if your problem has been resolved or not. 

Method 2: Reset the Printer 


  • Ensure that your printer is on then disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Next, remove the power cord from the wall outlet. (Note- Make sure the printer’s power cord is directly connected to a wall outlet.)
  • Now, you should wait for around 60 seconds. 
  • Then, plug the power cord back into your wall outlet. 
  • Furthermore reconnect the power cord to your printer device. 
  • You should turn on your printer if it does not turn on automatically.
