How to Fix Driver Unavailable for Brother Printer?
Method 1: Troubleshoot Printer
Open the Run command box by pressing the Windows and R buttons.
Then, enter “msdt.exe/id PrinterDiagnostic in the open field.
Now, you are required to choose the OK option.
When the “Troubleshoot and help prevent computer problems” page appears, click on Next.
After that, let your computer detect your Brother printer.
Then, you are required to click on the printer you want to troubleshoot.
Click on the Next button in the bottom.
Now, let the device troubleshoot the printer and fix any issue with it.
Method 2: Reinstall the Printer Driver
At start access the control panel window and then choose the “View devices and printers” option.
Next, you are required to right-click on your Brother printer device and click the “See what’s printing” option.
Now, select the Printer tab, click on “Cancel All Documents”, then click on Yes.
Furthermore, you need to right-click on your Brother printer name and choose Remove device, and click Yes.
Choose any other printer and click the Printer Server Properties tab.
Then, you need to choose the Drivers tab.
Furthermore, look for your printer driver, select it, and click on the Remove button.
Next click on the “Remove drivers only” radio button, then click OK.
Select Yes to delete the printer driver. (Note- If a window appears with “printer driver is currently in use,” reboot your computer and perform all the steps again.)
After that, you should select the Add Printer option.
Now, choose the “The printer that I want isn’t listed” option.
Then, click on the “My printer is a little older. Help me find it”, then click on Next.
Choose the Brother printer model and click on the Next button.
Select the “Use the driver that is currently installed” option and then select the Next button.
Then, you should write your printer name and select the Next button.
Next, select the “Print a Test Page” option.
Click Close on the pop-up and then select the Finish option.
