How to Install Canon Printer Driver?


Are you looking for the procedure to install the Canon printer driver on your PC? Go through this step-by-step guide to gain the proper understanding of the full procedure. 


   . For the first step, launch your web browser and search for your model printer driver.

   . Then, you should access the official Canon website. 

   . Now, from the “Drivers, Software & Firmware,” verify your operating system.

   . Next, you are required to choose the right driver from the list of options. 

   . Select the Download option for the driver you want to download. 

   . When the file is downloaded, right-click on the file and click on Extract File. 

   . Once you are on the Extraction paths and options window, choose OK.

   . Moreover, head to your control panel and click on the Devices and Printers option.

   . Then, you need to select the “Add a printer” button.

   . Choose the “The printer that I want isn’t listed” option.

   . In addition, you have to choose the “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” option/button and click on Next.

   . After that, select the “Use an existing port” option, select the “USB_001” from the drop-down, and click on Next. (Note- Select Com4_001 or any Canon port option if the USB option is available.) 

   . From the Add Printer window, click on the “Have Disk” button. 

   . Choose Browse, then locate and open the driver file.

   . Plus, inside the driver file, find and open the file with “.inf” at the end.

   . Click on the Canon printer model you want to connect. 

   . You can also provide a printer name if you want to click on Next.

   . After that, choose the print a test page or finish option. 

   . Check if your printer name appears on the Devices and Printers field.
